The Stefanov family is well-known in the world of piano lessons for their exceptional expertise and quality. With years of experience, they have established themselves as leaders in the field and music community. Their passion for music and dedication to teaching shines through in every lesson they give.
Ivanka Stefanov
Mrs. Ivanka Stefanov received a Bachelor Degree in Piano Performance from University of Musical Arts, Belgrade, Yugoslavia. She has been teaching piano and theory professionally for over 55 years. Mrs. Ivanka performed with “SAR” trio and served as a Church Organist and Music Director for Presbyterian Church of Seffner and UMC Wellspring Church.
Mrs. Ivanka serves as judge coordinator for the Bay Ridge Festival Tampa and FFMC Junior Convention and is an active member of the National Federation of Music Clubs, Greater Pinellas Music Teacher Association (FSMTA/MTNA), National Guild of Piano Teachers. She has adjudicated for diverse organizations including the Bay Ridge District Festival, Florida State Convention, National Guild and Midstate Music Teacher Association.
Mrs. Ivanka is the founder and president of Academic Piano Studio.
Emi P. Stefanov
Ms. Emi P. Stefanov earned a Bachelor and Master Degrees in Piano Performance from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX. She has been actively teaching piano and musical theatre for over 27 years. Ms. Emi has been on the faculty of SMU Community Education, FSU/Asolo Conservatory, Midlothian HS, Broadway Theatre Project, Hoffman Institute for Performing Arts/Ruth Eckerd Hall and is currently an Adjunct Music Professor at Hillsborough Community College, Ybor City Campus. In addition to teaching, Ms. Emi is in demand pianist and music director for various theatre companies, and recipient of numerous awards recently receiving the 2024 Broadway World Tampa Award for Best Music Direction for FWP's A Little Night Music,
Ms. Emi is the Bay Ridge Festival Tampa chair and FFMC Jr. Convention Chair and an active member of the FFMC/NFMC, National Guild of Piano Teachers, and Greater Pinellas Music Teacher Association (FSMTA/MTNA),
